Few years earlier, Frog Prince was aired in GMA Network. I don’t know the reason why but I didn’t watch the so called Taiwanovela. This summer, exactly the date of May, 30, 2009, after having a fever due to overfatigue, I decided to watch the series. That night I watch the first two episodes and suddenly fall in love with the story, plot, idea and the characters. The series didn’t last long one week, in my hands, since I started watching it. Therefore, I can really say that the story was pretty good. Lots of things bore me. But this one kept me entertained. I cry, laugh, and got carried away with the romantic scenes. In short, “kinilig ako.”
I remember, the day when I just needed to finish five more episodes (episodes 25-30), since I woke up I turned on the DVD. And my Mom said “Oy! Kumain ka muna.” And then I eat as fast as I could. Then about three in the afternoon, there is a certain scene that is very romantic, I even said “Heto na! Magyayakapan na sila.” I held the pillow very still and bite its corner… I wait… then I’m still waiting. Then the screen went black, the electric fan stops, the aircon turned off! Then I realize… “Ano ba yan! Brown out!“, the black out lasted about two hours.
As I watched the rain, falling down, a story pop out in my mind. That’s the I’m Yours, You’re Mine. Later that day, I suceed in finishing the series. And when I search the net, I was surprised that almost the whole cast was a member of a bands, called 7 Flowers and 183 Club. And almost all the theme songs played in the series and the songs that I loved were sang by them. Hay.. this what you called Addiction to Frog Prince.
